• Do your homework. Shops, markets, magazines and TV programs are full of amazing ideas. Collect articles from Magazines, and keep records of samples to take along to the shops with you.


• You don’t have to fork out for expensive fabrics. Search around markets and cheaper shops to get a bargain; also check out and search through remnant baskets in department stores.


• Want the look of luxury, without the cost? Then invest in just one meter of expensive fabric like silk or linen and combine it with cheaper fabrics such as cotton


• Make sure fabrics and wall work together. Patterned fabrics add a striking touch to a plainly furnished room. But if you’ve decided to use a pattern on the walls, go for plain fabrics for stylish and uncluttered décor
